Fenton seeks parents’ input on Strategic Plan

The first of several Strategic Plan 2.0 Committee Meetings took place on Wednesday, Sept. 22, according to Fenton Superintendent James Ongtengco. All Fenton Families should receive an electronic questionnaire to fill out. Feedback from its partners at home is critical to Fenton’s strategic planning process. So, what is a Strategic Plan? “Fenton’s Strategic Plan is our North Star and guides our work for the next three years,” Ongtengco said. “The Strategic Plan will include our district goals, priorities, and action steps. “We always want our students and families to have a voice here at Fenton, but contributing to the school district’s overall mission is a huge voice and we hope you can find some time to send us your thoughts. All feedback will be reviewed during our strategic plan meetings.” Fenton parents are urged to watch your phone and email for the questionnaire. Please reply and offer your feedback.

the 7-11 on a report of a vehicular hijacking involving the display of a firearm. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim who said his vehicle had been stolen by two men who were last seen driving it south on York Street. The victim reported no injuries. Investigation of the incident has determined that four men occupying a Black Porsche Cayenne SUV pulled into the parking lot of the 7-11 as the victim was entering his parked car. A male suspect exited the Porsche and

approached the victim while holding a black handgun. The suspect demanded his car, key fob, and entered the driver seat of the car. A second male suspect exited the Porsche and entered the front passenger seat of the victim’s car. The victim’s car and Porsche then fled the scene south on York Street. It appears the Porsche was occupied by two additional unknown suspects and that the Porsche was confirmed to be recently stolen in another suburb. At approximately 12 p.m., the vic-

tim’s abandoned vehicle was recovered by the Chicago Police Department on the 6800 block of S. Wabash Ave. The victim’s vehicle was processed by Elmhurst Police evidence technicians and investigators have canvassed the area for security video recordings of the incident. The suspects have been described as: Suspect #1: A black male, late teens to early 20’s, thin build, wearing a black surgical mask, black shirt, and

displaying a black handgun. Suspect #2: A black male, late teens to early 20’s, thin build, wearing a black surgical mask and black sweatshirt. Suspect #3: Unknown driver of the Porsche Cayenne. Suspect #4: Unknown passenger of the Porsche Cayenne. The Elmhurst Police Department requests that anyone with information or security video of the incident call (630) 530-3050 to speak to investigators.
