‘Krazy Krates’ comes to downtown Bensenville
On Friday, Jan. 28, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for Krazy Krates, a new family-owned retail store, located at 114 W. Green Street in downtown Bensenville. Village President Frank DeSimone was joined by store owners Abigail and Cinthya as they cut the ceremonial red ribbon to celebrate the opening of their new store. The store is owned and operated by Mariana, Cinthya, Abigail, and their family. They were joined by Village officials, Village staff, and members of the Bensenville Chamber of Commerce. Krazy Krates specializes in taking wholesale returns and selling them at a fixed price for each day of the week. Items for sale include electronics, clothes, books, home décor, tools, and much more. Prices begin at $12 on Thursdays and slowly decrease in $2 increments each day of the week until they reach $2 on Tuesdays. They then re-stock the shelves and repeat the same process each week. “Despite the challenges of the ongoing pandemic, we continue to see the entrepreneurial spirit of business owners in Bensenville thrive,” said DeSimone. “We welcome their courSUBMITTED PHOTO Bensenville Independent age and are excited to have Krazy Village President Frank DeSimone cut the ceremonial red ribbon alongside owners Cinthya and Abigail.
