County Board approves 2019 budget

No property tax increase for 11th year in a row

The DuPage County Board approved the 2019 budget on Tuesday, Nov. 27, marking the 11th consecutive year the County has passed a budget with no property tax increase. The 2019 budget is $433.8 million, down $5.8 million from the previous fiscal year. The approved budget includes a full-time headcount of 2,167, which is down from 2,270 in 2010.

The 2019 spending plan includes $38 million in total capital including projects for stormwater, drainage and road construction. The property tax levy remains flat for the 11th year in a row at $66.9 million. The budget includes a $100,000 allocation to continue the fight against heroin in DuPage County.
