Bensenville celebrates spectacular 25th annual Holiday Ice Show The Edge Ice Arena was the center of holiday magic as the Village of Bensenville recently celebrated the 25th annual Holiday Ice Show. The event drew an enthusiastic crowd of families, friends, and community members who came together to witness the dazzling performances of skaters from the village’s Learn to Skate and Competitive Skating programs. The show highlighted the incredible talent and dedication of local skaters, who performed a variety of routines that showcased their skills, creativity and holiday spirit. From graceful beginner skaters to seasoned competitors, every performance was met with cheers and applause from the packed arena. “This year’s Holiday Ice Show was nothing short of spectacular,” said Village President Frank DeSimone. “It’s always wonderful to see our community come together to support our skaters and celebrate the holiday season in such a festive and memorable way. Events like these are what make Bensenville a special place to live.” Special thanks are extended to the coaches, volunteers, and staff who worked tirelessly to make this event a success. Their efforts not only brought joy to attendees, but highlighted the strong sense of community in Bensenville. Bensenville shows strong support for Bensenville Wood Dale Food Pantry The Village of Bensenville, along with the Bensenville Community Foundation, has helped raise vital funds for the Bensenville Wood Dale Food Pantry during the final months of 2024. Previous years saw the CPKC Holiday Train visit the community along with a donation to the Food Pantry. Upon hearing that the CPKC Holiday Train would not be stopping in Bensenville this year, numerous individuals, elected officials, community organizations and local businesses of all sizes have shown enormous generosity by donating thousands of dollars—making a big difference for families in need. “The support we’ve received for the Bensenville Food Pantry has been nothing short of extraordinary.

In times of need, the Bensenville community has consistently stepped up to ensure that no one goes hungry. This outpouring of kindness demonstrates the true spirit Bensenville Strong, and I am incredibly proud to serve as Village President alongside such compassionate residents and businesspeople,” said Village President Frank DeSimone. A check for $16,762.10 was presented to the Bensenville Wood Dale Food Pantry at the Holiday Magic Tree Lighting Ceremony on Nov. 24, and the raised funds after the weekend totaled $18,772.10. Monetary donations can be made to the Bensenville Wood Dale Food Pantry year-round at: www.bensenvillefoundation.org/donate or www. bwdfp.org
