According to the Addison police reports, on April 23, Lee S. Alexopoulos, 31, of Bridgeview, was charged with burglary, theft, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle in the 200 block of N. Mill at around 4:28 a.m. Police said Alexopoulos gained entry into a daycare facility and reportedly removed keys, laptops, and other electronic equipment. The stolen items were loaded into a van belonging to the daycare facility and he left the scene. According to police, Alexopoulos returned a second time to remove more items from the building, when the alarm was activated. Officers found Alexopoulos inside the daycare facility with a controlled substance in his possession. Alexopoulos was also in possession of a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Addison, police said. The vehicle was found at his residence. Members of the public are reminded that a complaint contains only charges and is not proof of the defendant’s guilt.

Jonathan’s wife Ashley and his children Danny, 15, Mason, 5, and Elijah, 6 months, were on hand to enjoy the celebration. “We’re here to recognize persistence and determination and success in the face of overwhelming odds,” Dunley said. “As you can see, his wife Ashley and children … are happy about that, too!” Dunley made sure to “plant” a daffodil – that is, one of the new ornaments that are being placed in the grounds around the hospital to celebrate every COVID-19 patient who has been safely discharged. Davila, who is an Addison resident, was admitted to Elmhurst Hospital on March 23. He was among the first patients with COVID-19 to be treated at the hospital. He was intubated for three weeks for respiratory failure due to COVID-19. He was also on dialysis at one point during his 44-day stay. Gratefully, he is no longer on dialysis and does not require oxygen therapy. Upon discharge, Davila was transported to Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton.
