Choose DuPage plans 2016 County Business Forum

Choose DuPage, an organization whose mission it is to drive economic development and address policy issues in DuPage County, is planning next County Business Forum, Trends In Business Fraud & Mitigating Risk. It will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 7:309:30 a.m. at Medinah Country Club, 6N001 Medinah Rd. in Medinah. This event is free to attend, but registration is needed. Unemployment rate drops, vacancy rates rise in County According to a report from Choose DuPage, the County’s unemployment rate decreased slightly from 4.5% in July to 4.4% in August. DuPage continues to have the lowest unemployment rate in the region, and is lower than both the state of Illinois (5.5%) and the United States (5%). Office vacancy rates in DuPage have increased slightly from 16.8% in August to 17.4% in September. The County’s industrial vacancy rate has also increased, inching from 4.8% in August to 5% in September. DuPage continues to have a significantly lower industrial vacancy rate compared to all other counties in Northeastern Illinois.
