The Southern Explorer Association (SEA), in partnership with Ugu South Coast Tourism, aims to promote the South Coast as a quality, affordable, all-year-round destination. By profiling a quality range of attractions in all 9 Southern Explorer tours, the Route Guide plays an important role in bringing tourists into the less developed, hinterland and rural areas. By becoming a part of the SEA community, artists, crafters and SMMEs living in areas that fall outside the traditional tourist hubs can start to gain access to the main stream tourist s spend. Ugu South Coast Tourism, in an effort to boost such growth, offers a limited number of sponsored advertisements to developing products. To promote sustainability, such products are given the opportunity to attend training workshops that help equip them with the skills they

UMTAMVUNA NATURE RESERVE

A botanical paradise consisting of an interesting stretch of riverine forest and steep rocky cliffs bordering the Umtamvuna river.
