SOUTHAM UNITED 3

Barby 11', Neale 18', Watkin 47'

After two postponements because of the weather, this Bluefin Sports (UHL) Challenge Cup third round tie finally got underway and it proved a good night for Southam United who comfortably went through against their Hellenic Division Two North opponents.

After the thaw, the pitch was, inevitably, heavy work for both sides, but Southam coped well with conditions going ahead in the 8th minute through Captain Simon Barby who notched his 11th goal of the season to become leading scorer.

Adam Neale added a second in the 18th minute to give them a comfortable 2-0 lead at halftime, and Craig Watkin increased their advantage two minutes after the re-start to effectively kill off the game.

Southam host Stonehouse Town at Bobby Hancocks Park this Saturday, kick off at 3pm.

Southam United: Lewis Hudson, Ryan Harris, Craig Watkin, Andrew Yeates, Adam Neale (Callum Stewart), Ellis Champkins, Jai Newell-Holley, Simon Barby {Capt.}, Shane Osborne, Ethan Champkins (Joshua Dixon), Bradley Goddard

Subs not used: Sam Dunn
