I would like to firstly take the opportunity to welcome the players, staff and committee of Stonehouse Town to BHP for today's Hellenic 1 league game. It seems ages ago since we have played at BHP. We have been on the road so much recently and covered every part of the Cotswolds It's been like Groundhog Day driving up and down the Fosse. If anybody would like a recommendation for a short getaway in the Cotswolds then I'm your man!
The reverse fixture at Stonehouse was a really tough game I'm always honest and on the day Stonehouse were the better side. We played well for the last 15 minutes plus injury time for a snatch and grab win Over the course of a season you take them, but we will need to play much better today against a team which is tough opposition for anyone in the league

At the time of writing, we are on a fantastic run of form. Six points off the top five, through to the Telegraph Cup semi final, and hopefully the last 16 of the Hellenic Challenge Cup where 150 clubs have participated from all the Hellenic Leagues since August No doubt we are overachieving but sometimes you just have to say that overachieving comes down to the environment and culture at a football that has been created, with good management, coaching and players that give everything week in week out for the club.
I always set myself high standards so this season comes as no surprise I always measure a season over how the team has developed individually and collectively I always look at other managers, coaches and management teams and determine success by the progress made in correlation to resources, budget and facilities The team this season I would say, individually and collectively, have made the most progress of any team I have managed My staff have worked tirelessly through their coaching to bridge the gap
The connection between the staff, players and supporters is by far the best I have seen in all my years at the club. We can all feel something special is building. We have so much to play for this season As I approach my 1500th game as a First Team player and manager over 23 years, and my 100th game as Southam United manager, it remains my honour and privilege to be manager of this fantastic club
As always, be our 12th man and be a loud and proud Saint Let's give it everything together for 12 weeks and see where it takes us
