Firstly, Happy New Year to everyone. I hope everyone enjoyed a great Xmas. It’s now 2022. The year Marty Mcfly went into the future in ‘Back To The Future: Part 2’. Were not at the stage yet with hover boards or where cars can fly, and there was definitely no mention of a global pandemic in the movie! I would like to welcome again to BHP the

management, players and committee of Summertown. We played them earlier in the season in one of the strangest games I’ve ever managed. It was a very tight game up until the 70th minute with the result in the balance. We then had a player sent off and imploded to end up losing 5-nil. My joint highest league defeat as a manager. The other being away at Peterborough Sports who are now in the promotion mix to be promoted to the Conference North. I do like Summertown’s approach. They are an all-or-nothing team. They are the highest scorers in the league and play attacking football. This has probably led to them losing games as well along the way but it’s an approach I really identify with. Since being manager of Southam we have only drawn one competitive game in two and a half seasons. I’m always prepared to lose games in order to win a games. In the next few weeks I will manage my 50th game as Southam United Manager. Due to Covid its probably half the number of games I would have managed had we of had normal, full seasons. I’m expecting a very open cup tie with both teams looking
