Good afternoon and a warm welcome to BHP for what promises to be an exhilarating fixture against traveling side Eynsham I’d like to take a moment to thank Mr. Rawlings, his players and backroom team for coming over to Southam for today’s game and wish you all the best of luck with the fixture as well as the remainder of the season ahead. Today we will see Southam gain the opportunity to remain above 50% win rate in the league, currently sitting with 7 wins from 12. I am confident in manager, Richard Kay’s, ability to get the best

from his squad today after a strong performance under poor conditions last week. Kay’s side have gone from strength to strength, despite having a few knock backs in cup fixtures recently. We are all confident in their chances of securing promotion by the close of the season. As a club we have applied and been initially successful in the preliminary approval for promotion pending a ground inspection. Onwards and upwards for the Saints. Since taking over at the club I believe we, as a whole, have taken great strides and will continue to develop and grow both as a business and a community football club. We have put a big emphasis on running the whole club as a viable and sustainable business with realistic expectations and a grounded mindset. There has been a big push on community engagement and re-establishing community trust. The community aspect is vital to our model here at Southam United, where the goal is to be one club for all. We will continue to work alongside those in the local area including businesses and individuals, which has been one of the founding cornerstones of this transitional phase of Southam United.
