LETTER FROM THE OWNER

Good afternoon and a warm welcome to BHP for what promises to be an exhilarating fixture against traveling side Eynsham

I’d like to take a moment to thank Mr. Rawlings, his players and backroom team for coming over to Southam for today’s game and wish you all the best of luck with the fixture as well as the remainder of the season ahead. Today we will see Southam gain the opportunity to remain above 50% win rate in the league, currently sitting with 7 wins from 12. I am confident in manager, Richard Kay’s, ability to get the best from his squad today after a strong performance under poor conditions last week. Kay’s side have gone from strength to strength, despite having a few knock backs in cup fixtures recently. We are all confident in their chances of securing promotion by the close of the season. As a club we have applied and been initially successful in the preliminary approval for promotion pending a ground inspection. Onwards and upwards for the Saints. Since taking over at the club I believe we, as a whole, have taken great strides and will continue to develop and grow both as a business and a community football club. We have put a big emphasis on running the whole club as a viable and sustainable business with realistic expectations and a grounded mindset. There has been a big push on community engagement and re-establishing community trust. The community aspect is vital to our model here at Southam United, where the goal is to be one club for all. We will continue to work alongside those in the local area including businesses and individuals, which has been one of the founding cornerstones of this transitional phase of Southam United. I have four foundational values stemming

from my time as a professional football manager that guide me and provide me with a blueprint to follow in business, coaching and my personal life. They are Passion, Pride, Loyalty and Respect. These four values will be the building blocks the club will continue to be built upon moving forward in the hope we can all turn Southam United into the club we know it can and should be. Some other notable developments at the club are that David Ward will now be a more permanent part of the club with his physiotherapy clinic being based at BHP for community treatments and rehabilitation. We also have Ethics Aesthetics joining us at BHP on an initial 6 months lease. Ethics Aesthetics are elite practitioners in the field of aesthetic beauty treatments from antiwrinkle treatments to nonsurgical face-lifts. The clinic is set to open in March, which will be the first in the franchise in the local area. Thank you again to all the fans, volunteers and local community who make this club possible. You genuinely are the heart and soul of Southam United Football Club. As I’m sure most of you will be aware, we are now able to offer, for the first season, a fully loaded and licensed bar thanks to the guys down at The White Hart, so go and grab a beer and a burger and enjoy the game!

Come on you Saints! Mike
