Personally, I don’t know too much about this time, but I do know a lot about Southam’s squad and our team. As far as what we can do, and I know we can perform to high standards week to week. We have some superb players, both young and experienced, which creates a great mixture for Southam.

Our last match, at home to Malmesbury in the league, was a bit of a rollercoaster to be honest! We were leading the game 2-0 but the visitors brought it back to make it 2-2 at full-time. We had only 10 men for a good 30 minutes, after having a man sent off, but we held strong and got a well earned point! It was another brilliant performance again from youngster Callum Stewart, who was rewarded with getting a goal as well. The will surely put his confidence sky high. Another player, who earned Man of the Match, and was the stand-in skipper for the match, Andy Yeates, had a great performance.

I was unable to wear the arm band due to an injury, which is very frustrating. I will be itching to get back to full fitness and back out there on the pitch. But I know the lads will do a very good job competing to a high quality and put in good shifts in each match.

Now the team is happy to get back into cup action and have a break from the league. We need to push hard and get as far as we can in this cup. Everyone loves a cup run, and hopefully we will be in the next round draw.

We will also be holding a Remembrance Day ceremony before the game. Everyone who can come and be a part of this would be very appreciated. We hope you enjoy the service as well as the hospitality at the BHP ground as the food and drink services will be available and it should be a cracker of a game.

Come and enjoy Southam and the Remembrance Day service. We hope to see many of the familiar faces, as well as the new ones down there at BHP.

Thanks,

Simon Barby
