Allison Jones as Joanne Allison is a Franklin native, and the President of the Teche Theatre Board of Directors, who recieved her MA Theatre degree from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2015. While normally she is behind the scenes directing the plays of her beloved Tennessee Williams, this summer, she decided to try her hand at musical theatre performance once again. Joanne is one of her most challenging roles to date, running a close race with her favorite tragic heroine, Blanche DuBois. Allison is grateful to be a part of this production cast and crew. She hopes the cast/crew 'take wings' and always sing, 'that same old music.'

Briana Lewis as Kathy Morgan City native Briana Lewis is ecstatic about her return to the Teche Theatre. Her first appearance on the Teche stage was in 2012 playing one of the Dynamites in Hairspray. Her second in 2016 playing multiple roles in Shrek the Musical. Now she returns as Kathy in Vanities: The Musical being her biggest challenge to date. Carolyn Higdon as Mary Carolyn is beyond thrilled to be back on stage as Mary in Vanities. Theatre has been and always will be Carolyn's true love and she is both excited and blessed to share her love of the stage with the community she holds close to her heart. Some of Carolyn's most treasured roles include Gypsy Rose Lee in Gypsy, Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray, Sister Robert Anne in Nunsense, Viola in Shakespeare's Twelth Night, Amanda Wingfield in The Glass Menagerie and M'Lynn in Steel Magnolias. One of Carolyn's most memorable experiences at the Teche was directing A Raisin in the Sun. Carolyn moved home to Franklin and is a Licensed Professional Counselor with Teche Action Clinic. Carolyn feels extremely blessed to be back in her hometown of Franklin and involved in the theatre that she truly calls home.



Diane Wiltz Director Diane Wiltz is a charter member of the board of directors for the TECHE THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS, Diane has been involved in some form of performance most of her life here in her hometown. Diane's acting credits include: WINE IN THE WILDERNESS (Tommy Marie); NUNSENSE, (Mother Superior); TOYER (Maude); DRIVING MISS DAISY (Daisy Werthern) and GYPSY (Rose). She also performed in the Teche's two original murder mysteries: SHUGA's (Shuga); THE LAWFUL AND THE LAWLESS (White Cloud). Her breath of work as a director includes A SOLDIER'S PLAY, THE MIRACLE WORKER, NOVEMBER, MOUNTAINTOP, STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE, PAUL ROBESON, A CHRISTMAS CAROL. She was Playwright/Director for the Techeland Arts Council production of BAYOU BELLS. You may have also seen Diane on the Travel Channel as the historian in "The Ghosts of Morgan City". Diane is married to Dr. Gary Wiltz, CEO of Teche Action Clinic.
Janet Sinitiere Music Educator/Vocal Coach Janet Sinitiere is a local piano and voice teacher as well as a church musician in the area. She has been a lover of musical theatre since she was a little girl collecting every musical vocal selection she could get her hands on particularly the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein. One of the highlights of her teaching career has been preparing students for musical theatre roles and auditions. Mrs. Janet is married and has two children as well as two grandchildren, Eli and Adelynn. She and her husband are also animal lovers, always having a house full of cats and dogs. "I have enjoyed working with the talented cast and director of Vanities. David is a multi-faceted musician who has served performing arts communities locally and in the northeast over the past two decades. In New York City, he accompanied the critically acclaimed Brooklyn Youth Chorus program under Dianne Berkun Menaker. He also worked under Tony Award-winning orchestrator Alex Lacamoire (Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen) as a transcriber for The Wrong Man.

Mackenzie Burleigh Lighting Tech
Mackenzie Burleigh, soon to be Olivarez, has been a part of community theatre since the age of 11. She has learned every aspect of the theatre since a young age by her mentors Ed "Tiger" Verdin and the late Tyra Yarber. She has spent hundreds and hundreds of volunteer hours working and/or acting. Since high school she has worked the technical side of theatre and is the Technical Director for Soulful Productions. For over 15 years she has called the Teche Theatre her second home and has the opportunity to participate in productions elsewhere in the Tri-Parish area. Theatre is a part of who she is, part of her soul. She adores supporting the Arts when and wherever she can. She is extremely grateful and honored to be a part this production. 2022 Playbill Inc. Locally, David has held many positions throughout the Acadiana area such as MD and synth programmer for Franklin’s Teche Theatre (Hairspray, 13, Gypsy) and many UL productions under Shawn Roy including Into the Woods, Les Miserables (in collaboration with the ASO), Grand Pre, Die Fledermaus, You're Gonna Love Tomorrow (An Evening of Sondheim), and more, where he served as M.D., arranger, orchestrator, synth programmer, rehearsal pianist, production keyboardist, vocal coach and chorus master.


WHO'S WHO Tyler Verdin Sound Tech Tyler has grown up inside the Teche Theatre for the Performing Arts since he was 5 years old. Since the age of 5 he has been working concession stand, cleaning bathrooms and working on sets. He has been in performances such as The Wiz, A Christmas Carol, Yes, Virginia there is a Santa Claus and Murder Mystery: The Lawful & Lawless. Running tech for his dad's play 9/11: Undying Love, The Forgotten Healer and The Quarters Musical as well as the Teche Theatre for the Performing Arts productions of Bayou Bells, Peter Pan,
The Hunchback of Notre Dame and A Streetcar Named Desire. Tyler is currently a barista at the Lamplighter Coffeehouse and the Lamp Station Ice Cream Shoppe. In his spare time he likes to play guitar and video games. Ed "Tiger" Verdin Sound Tech Ed “Tiger’’ Verdin is a veteran of the stage with over 25 years of acting and directing experience throughout Acadiana. His resume has many performances but a few notable are Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Brick) November (President Charles Smith), The Odd Couple (Felix), God’s Favorite (Joe Benjamin), Misery (Paul Sheldon), To Kill a Mockingbird (Bob Ewell), Driving Miss Daisy (Boolie). Tiger is a Playwright member of the Dramatist Guild of America in New York.He was recently appointed to the Louisiana State Arts Council Board by Governor Edwards. He was recently elected as Board Chairman of the St. Mary Parish Chamber of Commerce. He sits on the Tourist Commission, SMP Council on Aging, Hanson/St.John Advisory Council and proudly serving 18 years as Board Member for the Teche Theatre. Tiger is in his 6th Season working for the Saints Entertainment Division. He is also Public Relation Director/Main Street Director for the City of Franklin. #SupportTheArts Sandy Adams Costuming Sandi came in and truly was a blessing to help us create the looks we needed.She had to work hard to make sure each of the costumes were up to portray such a period production.She can be seen taking photography around St. John & Hanson as well as community events.She is a dedicated community member always willing to give of her talents. Ben Anderson Photographer Benjamin Anderson (Prodction Photographer)- Benjamin is a musician/guitarist as well as photographer and visual artist. His first production with the Teche was as the Composer/Performer for the Glass Menagerie in 2021. You may also have seen his performance in the Teche Theatre Christmas Gala in 2021.
