Located on a long, beautiful private beach near the historic village of Prampram on the South Atlantic coast of Ghana, it is a luxurious coastal home for relaxing and enjoying the amenities of “your own home away from home� or just a comfortable place to relax after long days on the beach or travel. With more than 200 feet of beach frontage and a large, open, beautifully landscaped private ocean front for sports, recreation or entertainment, the main house is fully furnished and boasts 7 bedrooms, 10 baths, spacious living rooms, dining room, large kitchen, study and a wrap around porch with spectacular views of the Gulf of Guinea from sunset to sundown.

Another amenity on the property is a large, open, thatch roofed Villa designed and built by local craftsmen and artisans, adjacent to the beach with full kitchen, bar and grill, perfect for parties, cook-outs and grilling or just easy access to a bite to eat and a cool drink while relaxing on the beach. The Villa can be rented separately for entertainment functions and parties as well.

The Bed and Breakfast includes a sumptuous menu with local, as well as Ghanaian/American fusion cuisine. Our food is sourced from local vendors and farmers and many of the herbs and seasonings are grown right on the property in our organic vegetable, herb and kitchen garden.

We also have provided the option for the hiring of local chefs to prepare family style dinners or lunches by reservation.

With reasonable rental rates, the property can be rented as a vacation property with several options such as an Inn-Keeper, full time cook and a Bed and Breakfast option. These options can all be negotiated at the time of booking the rental.

T h e V i l l a g e O f P r a mp ram & Ne arby At t ract ions Numerous attractions and day trips are readily accessible from Coconut Pointe. The nearby village of Prampram, a quintessential Ghanaian fishing village, is a beautiful beach community located a very short jaunt outside of Accra about 45km to the east. As the historic spiritual home of the Ga people in Ghana’s Greater Accra region, it is the center of the colorful, exciting annual Homowo festival and a favorite among Ghanaians and expatriates. In addition, it offers a very nice beach for people to enjoy while taking a break from Accra. The beach is lined with local fishing canoes and some nice private houses along the beachfront. There are a couple of ship wreaks off the beach that make for some interesting views but are and ever present reminder to be careful while enjoying the water. There are a number of hotels offering a variety of water sports and available to Coconut Pointe guests; river and lake fishing trips on the scenic Volta can also be arranged. Nature lovers can enjoy hiking and see a variety of native plants and animals, including indigenous monkeys and baboons in the Shai Hills Nature Reserve and Wildlife sanctuary only 20 minutes away. For city life, the bustling Accra center city less than 45 km away offers a variety of arts, entertainment and local food and cultural experiences; Lome, the cosmopolitan capital city of French-speaking country of Togo, is less than two hours from Coconut Pointe. Also within two hours drive are favorite tourist attractions including the spectacular Boti water falls and caves, the Akosombo Dam on the Lake Volta, Aburi Botanical Gardens and great shopping for local arts and crafts.

At Coconut Pointe our breakfast menu includes a variety of Ghanaian and American fusion cuisine. All of our ingredients are procured from local vendors and farmers and many of our herbs and spices are grown right here on the property in our kitchen garden. We offer an abundant supply of fresh fruits and vegetables and grown on the owner’s farm in Kumasi about 4 hours north of Prampram. Fruit and vegetable selections will vary seasonally.

R E N TAL OP T IONS Based on availability, the property can be rented in whole for an extended period or by room. Families can also rent one of the levels of the main house, each with its own living and entertainment area and large verandas overlooking the beach: there are 2 bedrooms on the first level and 5 bedrooms on the second, each level containing a luxurious master bedroom suite with a handcrafted 4-poster king size bed. The upper master also has a large, 2-person Jacuzzi spa bath.
