The Synagogue's History as Inspiration for Fabric's Transformation is a dossier comprising proposals for visual materials, based on the neighbourhood once known as the factory district of Timișoara, the city where the revolution started in 1989. Following the safety operations carried out after the temple was shortlisted as a World Monument Fund site, OSB panels were mounted covering the stained glass windows. The proposal highlights how details from inside the synagogue, blend with architectural elements belonging to buildings of the local Jewish community, as a metaphor and visual reflection of the garden, in the heart of the site adjacent to the prayer house. Since the synagogue was the result of a collective effort, including donations and a lottery, the team decided to gather a bouquet of references, documenting the richness of the cultural heritage in the Fabric quarter.
Errata: the widow Kunz Palace is actually Mór (Moritz) Lőwy Palace.
