Network of Executive Women Cincinnati Region

Who We Are: The Network of Executive Women is a growing community of 13,500 professional women representing 900 companies across North America. NEW’s mission is advancing all women, growing business and transforming our workplaces through the power of community. NEW Cincinnati is one of 22 regions throughout the U.S. We are a strong collective voice for everyone in the corporate world who wants to see gender equality become a reality. NEW Cincinnati provides women and men the opportunity to network and connect through more than a dozen events each year - ranging from happy hours to bi-annual learning events with nationally recognized speakers.

What We Do: NEW Cincinnati is developing and empowering women leaders. Nationally, NEW provides insights and practical solutions that support business transformation through gender equality. The focus is to amplify the collective voice of women executives, championing equal opportunity, advancement, inclusion and pay. NEW is a community that walks beside you on your journey to—and through—leadership. Elise Keeler, a NEW Cincinnati Regional Leader, shares, “NEW is a collection of passionate and encouraged women and men. Whether we are connecting with our NEW Cincinnati members or hosting an event with Indra Nooyi, former CEO of PepsiCo, or Dr. Condoleezza Rice, I always leave the events feeling supported and motivated and have created new friends and mentorships that will continue to grow.”

Why We’re Important: WOMEN ARE UNDERREPRESENTED IN CORPORATE LEADERSHIP. Women hold just 6.6% of Fortune 500 CEO roles, despite comprising 50% of the world’s population. GENDER EQUALITY IS GOOD FOR SOCIETY AND GOOD FOR BUSINESS. It’s not only good for women, it’s good for business. Companies in the top quartile for gender diversity in their executive teams were 21% more likely to have above-average profitability than those in the bottom quartile.

NEW believes we need companies that reflect the consumers they serve. It’s no secret that top millennial and Gen Z talent overwhelmingly favors equal pay and gender equality. As consumers vote with their wallets and employees vote by choosing which companies benefit from their talents, the world is changing.

How We Serve the Community: NEW develops actionable insights and corporate solutions to drive change from the top down and bottom up.

Amy Alt, Vice President Sales at Procter & Gamble, says, “The Network of Executive Women is about advancing women, growing the business, and transforming our industry through the power of our community. NEW Cincinnati is a fantastic region to make that happen through our networking programs and events. NEW has served as a broader platform for me to drive diversity and inclusion in the Consumer Product Industry. It has allowed me to connect and learn from so many leaders outside of my company.”

How You Can Help: Join our community of more than 12,000 leaders who are transforming themselves and their industry. Our conversation is happening on social media and in person events throughout Cincinnati. NEW Cincinnati committees are made up of volunteers that focus on membership, event programming, logistics, college outreach and mentoring. There are opportunities to join the conversation and share your time and talents through NEW Cincinnati.
