Episcopal Retirement Services

Who We Are: Episcopal Retirement Services (ERS) is rooted in the generosity and compassion of those who believe that the elderly deserve to age in a home-like environment, where respect and freedom of choice are paramount and where they can enjoy full and meaningful lives during their later years. Since the 1950s, philanthropists in the spirit of Charles and Marjorie P. Lee have contributed time, talent, and treasure to ensure ERS remains a leader in meeting the evolving needs of older adults representing a wide range of demographics. This legacy of charitable giving and servant leadership continues today through The Good Samaritan Mission Fund, which supports the ministries, programs and services provided to ERS residents, staff, and individuals throughout the community annually.

What We Do:We believe that seniors should live with dignity and comfort in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment no matter their financial situation. ERS is proud to offer rentsubsidized affordable senior living communities that provide various options and services not often found in communities for seniors with limited incomes. We are pleased to own and/or manage 27 low-income housing communities in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. The result for many of our residents is truly lifeenriching. We deliver more than 100,000 nutritious meals to homebound seniors in the Cincinnati area through Deupree Meals On Wheels. We also provide premier housing and services for older adults in Cincinnati at Deupree House and Marjorie P. Lee and in Louisville at Episcopal Church Home.

Why We’re Important: ERS is committed to ensuring that older adults live with passion and purpose by setting the highest standards for residential living, healthcare and memory support services. We developed best practice standards within our communities and programs. As an industry leader, our vision is to expand our impact far beyond residents’ reach to address and solve societal issues that currently plague our senior population and their caregivers, including establishing Cincinnati as the most dementia inclusive city in America. How We Serve the Community: Our efforts help support vital housing, wellness, and program needs for older citizens to ensure they live full, dignified lives. Our fundraising efforts help us pay for things not covered by Medicare on behalf of our residents. Things like hearing aids, scooters, dentures and staff provided services such as social service coordination, activities, and transportation. And when our residents’ funds are depleted, they can continue to live, just as they always have, in our communities.

How You Can Help: There are so many ways you can support our mission with a donation of your time or money. We have volunteer opportunities with Deupree Meals On Wheels, or in our communities. We are taking volunteer applications, however volunteers will be limited to certain roles during the Coronavirus Pandemic. Find volunteer opportunities at: www. episcopalretirement.com/volunteer.

Finally, we also accept financial donations to help support programing for older adults. You can donate online anytime at: www.episcopalretirement.com/donate.
