Who We Are: Beech Acres Parenting Center™ has been serving parents, families and children in the Greater Cincinnati area for more than 170 years. Originally founded as an orphanage to address the cholera epidemic that gripped the nation, Beech Acres has consistently evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of parents in the community. Our mission, inspiring and equipping today’s parents, families, and communities to raise capable, caring, contributing children has not changed since our inception and continues to guide our organization every day. As a modern parenting center, we believe intentional parenting is essential to helping all children achieve their full potential.

What We Do:

• Foster Care and Adoption – supporting the most vulnerable children as they find a loving Foster family, are reunified with their birth parents or are adopted. • Kinship Connections – supporting Grandparents and other relatives thrust into the unexpected role of raising their grandchildren. • School-Based Services – working in schools to provide mental and behavioral health services (Beyond the Classroom™) and with teachers and parents to build resiliency and a common support network (The Character Effect™). • Parent Coaching – working with parents in pediatric offices (Parent Connext™) and at community sites (Parent

Enrichment Program) to help parents navigate behavioral and child-rearing challenges.

Why We’re Important: 1,000 children need a safe and loving foster care home each day in Hamilton County alone. Our dedicated foster care team has been training, matching and supporting foster care families for over 40 years, providing important value to the region. 1 in 5 children between the ages of 13-18 have or will have a serious, diagnosable mental illness which makes the work we do vital to building a strong community.

Beech Acres Parenting Center is here with answers; Natural Strength Parenting™ can be the antidote to these modern challenges. How We Serve the Community: Serving more than 13,500 parents, teachers and children every year, our services are available in 16 local pediatric offices and 39 public and private schools in the Greater Cincinnati Area. All of our programs are founded in our Natural Strength Parenting™ framework, which enables parents and other caregivers to unlock their potential by building on their unique strengths. We help build confidence for families through parent coaching, provide mental health services for children, strengthen families in crisis or transition, and train and support Foster parents and Grandparents who are raising their grandchildren.
