Sonja L Haaby Had an Extensive Career in Banking and Finance Before She Followed Her Passion in Accounting The owner of Haaby & Associates, LLC, Sonja L Haaby has 13 years of tax consulting and preparation experience. More than a job, accounting is a passion for Haaby and that’s the reason that despite having an extensive career in banking and finance as branch manager and financial specialist, she decided to pursue a career in public accounting in 2007. She began her career in public accounting with a local CPA firm where her financial background and outstanding problem solving skills enabled her to successfully assist both personal and business clients with all their financial tax planning needs. Another factor that contributed to her success in her new career was her educational background. Sonja holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree with an emphasis in Accounting and a Human Resource Management Certificate.

Before establishing her own company in 2018, Sonja L Haaby worked with many big companies, including All Seasons Tax, Kerkoch Katter & Nelson LLP, Excellence in Taxes, Watson Development, Alliance Professionals, LLP, and Capstone CPA’s, LLC. Sonja has also been involved with various non-profit organizations along with participating in leadership programs such as "Leadership Redmond". Apart from that, she has been an active Chamber member, and board member of Volunteer Connect and Eagle Mountain where she has volunteered her time in community outreach fundraising events, training, coaching, and mentoring others.

Sonja L Haaby had been involved in various volunteer activities, such as handling office administration/bookkeeping for Christian Life Center, serving as organizer assistant for Tsunami Tower Fundraiser, volunteering for PTA, and working as the lead organizer/overseer for Tour of Hope Event. Additionally, she had volunteered for Downtowners Association, SMART Program, Eagle Mountain, MOVE

Committee, High Lakes Elementary (Site Council Member) and Leadership Redmond.
