The Sonik range for 2016 is our biggest and best selection yet, with a host of new products across rods, reels, shelters, chairs, luggage and accessories. Each item is carefully designed and developed to ensure excellent performance, reliability, looks and value for money.

CONTENTS

With the new S3, S4 and S6 carp rods, our aim is to make the customer choice easy – mid, long or all range rods, each of which is price positioned to sell. The stunning new XTI range of camping products offers total comfort and protection for serious carp anglers looking to spend long periods out on the bank in all weather conditions.

Aside from shelters, bedchairs, chair and sleeping bag, we also have two stunning new landing nets within the XTI brand, which are great additions to the range and sure to sell well. In addition, we have two new carp reels – the Tournos 8000FS and Tournos 6000, each of which is sure to be popular with our growing legion of customers.

Sonik also plans to extend into the commercial and specialist coarse markets, first examples of which are the stunning S4 Commercial Waggler

and Feeder rods, which are an ideal match with the AVX reels and will form part of a whole new range of products in this commercially important sector of the market.

For the sea fishing enthusiast, we have spent considerable time and effort to develop a market leading new range of top end shore rods, called the ZX Series. In addition we have added heavier tip versions of the highly successful Gravity Surf rods, called Gravity HT and finally added fixed spool versions of the hugely popular SKS Black shore rods, which were a runaway success in 2015.

We will continue to work hard in 2016 to expand our range further, only releasing product to market when we are confident it represents a winning proposition for our customers.

SKSBLACK CARP RODS The SKS Black carp rods set a new standard for the price when they launched back in 2014 and have continued to become our biggest selling rod range ever since.

Finished with a sleek but durable matt black finish, the blanks have an easy to cast action that suits all users, but will still reach distances in excess of 150 yards in the right hands. Ideal for all but the biggest waters therefore and each with a forgiving tip which reduces the risk of hooks pulls and gives a great feel when playing the fish under the rod tip. Finished with double legged black lined SIC Guides, custom Sonik DPS reel seat with black hood and collar and a black laser etched Sonik butt cap.

Super slim abbreviated handles with Japanese shrink wrap on the lower handle give the appearance of a much more expensive rod and has set a trend that has been imitated but never bettered for the price.

2 Hook Flapper (2UP) Rig Like its sister rig, it gets its name simply because it presents the bait on two hooks which flap around. This simple rig gives you two shots with each cast and presents your bait above the lead. Ideal when fishing piers, jetties or other beach marks at close or medium range, for Flounder, Whiting, Dogfish, Dabs, Eels and Pouting and many other species.

Available in hook sizes 2 and 1/0.

2 Hook Flapper (1UP1D) Rig Same as above, but with one hook above the lead, one below – useful when you want to fish two different baits. Available in hook sizes 2, 1/0 and 3/0.

3 Hook Flapper (3UP) Rig Three hooks unclipped giving you three shots per cast. Popular when targeting flatfish and other smaller species when there are numerous fish about. Available in hook sizes 2 and 1.

3 Hook Flapper (2UP1D) Rig As above, but with two hooks positioned above the lead, one below.

Available in hook sizes 1 and 2, ideal for scratching smaller species such as Dabs, Plaice, Eels, Whiting or Pouting.

1 Hook Clipped (Impact Lead) Rig A single long hook length which is designed to clip onto an impact-type lead for long range fishing for Cod, Rays, Bass, Dogfish etc. Available in hook sizes 1/0 and 2/0.

2 Hook Clipped (Impact Lead) Rig Designed for fishing two baits at medium to long range when fish are further out such as on ebb tides, or when conditions are rough and the fish stay in deeper water. Available in hook sizes 2 and 1/0.

3 Hook Clipped (Impact Lead) Rig This rig allows you to fish with three baits at maximum distance. Bait stops on the snoods prevent your baits sliding up the line during casting.

2 Hook Loop Rig The ultimate distance match rig for extreme range fishing, which fishes with one hook above and one below an impact-type lead. Available in hook sizes 2, 1 and 1/0, this rig will catch most species such flatfish, whiting and codling over clean to mixed ground at distance.

Pully Pennel Rig Ideal for targeting bigger fish with large baits when fishing rough ground marks. The advantage of the pulley rig when used on snaggy bottoms is that once a fish has been hooked, the weight of the fish pulls the line through the top swivel and lifts the sinker away from the bottom.

The name ‘Pennel’ refers to the system of tying two hooks close together at the end of the hook trace to secure larger baits. Available in hook sizes 1/0 and 3/0, ideal for Cod, Dogfish, Coalfish and other species.

Pully Single Hook Rig Ideal for fishing rough ground or snaggy marks, the advantage of the pulley rig when used on snaggy bottoms is that once a fish has been hooked, the weight of the fish pulls the line through the top swivel and lifts the sinker away from the bottom.
