GUIDANCE FOR FREE MEMBER EDITORIAL SUBMISSIONS
We publish our printed magazine at the beginning of February, April, June, August, October and December. Somerset Pulse, our regular e-shot, is sent out every fortnight, on a Wednesday.
Articles submitted for specific features are considered on their own merit and relevance and we will normally make amendments to fit our editorial style.
Any accompanying photos need to be emailed as high resolution attachments in jpeg, png or eps format
As editorial space is limited, inclusion cannot be guaranteed and the editor may amend submissions as appropriate.
EVENT SPONSORSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All quoted sums are exclusive of VAT at the standard rate.
Once confirmation of sponsorship is received in writing the sponsor is bound by the terms and conditions and will be liable to pay the sponsorship invoice
Unless otherwise agreed, sponsorship is not offered exclusively.
Somerset Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to change features of events and to make appropriate amendments to the programme, content or speakers at an event.
Somerset Chamber of Commerce will not be held liable for any losses, damages or injury incurred at an event of for the views of delegates, speakers or staff.
Invoices for sponsorship will be raised at the time of booking and are subject to standard payment terms
Complaints, concerns or changes to the event should be addressed with the events team at the earliest convenient time
Sponsors are required to attend the event they are sponsoring and Somerset Chamber of Commerce will not be able to represent a sponsor on their behalf.
Somerset Chamber of Commerce will not guarantee ticket sales or attendance at any event.
Somerset Chamber of Commerce cannot guarantee press coverage of any event or brand exposure in any coverage
Somerset Chamber of Commerce does not pay businesses to hold workshops. Delegates will be charged to cover the cost of administration, advertising, hosting and marketing of the workshop with associated sponsor branding
If an event is cancelled for any reason by yourselves as the event sponsor, Somerset Chamber will retain 50% of the sponsorship fee This acknowledg the work already undertaken to promote the event and associated benefits the sponsors’ brand.
ADVERTISING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Somerset Chamber of Commerce is not liable for errors in supplied artwork.
Clients must provide artwork to the correct specification for the advert booked. We will not alter client artwork.
All artwork is subject to approval by Somerset Chamber of Commerce and will need to conform to the British Code of Advertising Practice
The Chamber can never guarantee inclusion for free editorial articles. Editorial submissions can be amended or rejected at the editor’s discretion
Only paid-for advertising and blogs are guaranteed inclusion in a mutually agreed publication on a pre-agreed and booked date
