INSULATED TOOLS
Beta Utensili’s insulated tools are meant to guarantee installation and electrical maintenance men’s safety. All of the insulated tools make it possible to work on systems up to 1000V on alternating current and up to 1500V on direct current. To provide the highest quality and performance standards and verify fitness and compliance with EN 60900, each tool is subjected to the following stringent tests: handle resistance to slipping and flame propagation, and high voltage test (10000V). B E TA : T H E H I S T O R Y O F I TA L I A N T O O L S 1923 - Alessandro Ciceri founded “Alessandro Ciceri & Figli”, to manufacture iron and steel casts. 1939 - The trademark Beta was registered and the Company became involved mainly in manufacturing professional tools. 1960 - Beta Utensili employed two hundred people, exported their products and stood out as an up-and-coming manufacturer of professional tools. 1969 - The revolutionary orange sheet metal “Tank” trolley was developed; from that moment orange would result in a unique style for the trademark Beta. 1971 - Beta Utensili entered the motor racing world, with a view to testing and developing their products. 1975 - The Company scored their first Formula 1 victory with the orange Beta Utensili March driven by Vittorio Brambilla, who won the Austrian Grand Prix in Zeltweg, in the pouring rain. 1980 - Beta Utensili further penetrated the main European markets, progressively establishing branches in France, Britain, Holland, Spain and Poland. 1995 - It took the Company no more than 8 months to have their Quality System certified in accordance with the ISO 9001 standards. 2000 - launch of the new Beta Utensili catalogue testified to ongoing growth. The range of available products was doubled and the over 10,000 coded items were divided into 20 product ranges. 2002 - Beta Utensili's range was further expanded, being supplemented with safety footwear as well as with work and free-time wear, namely the “Beta Work” range. 2013 - Ongoing growth leading to today: a product range – distributed worldwide – which exceeds 10,000 coded items and satisfies the most demanding professionals’ requirements.
Beta Utensili manufactures its products in Italy, in the factories in Sovico (Monza e Brianza), Castiglione d’Adda (Lodi) and Sulmona (L'Aquila), and has over 550 staff. Beta Utensili respects the environment, accurately selecting such materials and processes as to minimize the impact on the ecosystem. Beta Utensili is active worldwide, through a high-performance logistic structure and a global distribution network which includes 7 foreign branches, in France, Britain, Holland, Spain, Poland, China and Brazil, and over 200 importers and distributors. Beta Utensili is synonymous with quality, on the basis of stringent tests on their products and company processes, in accordance with the ISO9001 standards. Beta Utensili has been a winner for forty years.
