ROQUETAS DE MAR The final fund raising event for 2012 was a table top sale held on 2nd November at Y Da Wakes. The event was closed with a sing-a-long led by Brian and the final count up of the amount raised for Help for Heroes during 2012 which totalled 4,207€ Yvonne and Dave at Y Da Wakes would like to thank everyone who supported the Charity in 2012 and they look forward to continuing their fund raising activities next year. A simulated Wild West town
There are daily shows of Wild West scenes, some outside depicting shoot-outs and a hanging (not a real one!) some inside with dancing and bar scenes. There is a museum, a photo gallery with costumes available for customers to wear for their souvenir photos shoot, restaurants, a train for transport around the quite extensive zoo, there is a big swimming pool and a playground for the children.

DANCE CLASSES GOING STRONG!
The Latin And Ballroom classes held at Playa Serena Golf Course are going strong. There are two classes a week, on a Tuesday morning 10.30am to 11.30am and from 4th October the Thursday evening class will move to the slightly earlier time of 6pm to 7pm. If you are interested in Strictly Come Dancing or you have always wanted to learn, come along and have a go. You can be sure of a very warm welcome and have great fun in the process, all for just 4 euros per person per class. On Tuesday 13th November at 2pm there will be a Lunch Dance with proceeds going to the Poppy Appeal. So if you would like to learn for this event or just brush up on what you already know come along to class. Paul and Caroline will be there to guide through the whole process.
