Good afternoon to one and all ahead of today’s game against Wealdstone FC and we extend a warm welcome to their supporters, players and officials
We return to Damson Park after a hard fought win at the Shay on bank holiday Monday
It was a welcome strong and resilient performance against a strong Halifax side, showing our character, defensive solidity and togetherness We will need more of the same in many occasions this season!
I think going forward, there is much more to come once we have a fully fit squad and key players are up to match fitness We all feel excited about the potential of the group and look forward to Whingy being able to select his best side.
Our travelling support last Monday was simply magnificent and it would be fabulous if we can recreate that atmosphere at the game today.
Wealdstone will certainly present another tough challenge and we will need to be at our best to prevail.
I mentioned in my last notes that today I will focus on the crucial importance of growing our commercial revenues.
We have highlighted before that whilst we seek to grow our fan base, this is a long term project, and it does put us at a disadvantage against our bigger rivals
This reinforces the need to drive commercial revenues to the maximum to enable us to invest in the playing budget
We have a wonderful group of existing sponsors, many of whom have been with us for many years, but we need to expand our reach into more local businesses and encourage them to join the Moors journey
Our array of sponsorship opportunities goes from big ticket items such as stadium naming rights to the regular but essential throughout the season sponsorships such as match and matchball for each game
All of us have friends and contacts or work in local businesses and we would really love to have the opportunity to meet them and introduce them to Moors
We will also pay an introductory commission to any supporter who introduces a new sponsor Please direct any enquiries to Bradley Rice, Chris Williams or myself
We were delighted this week that Davison’s Law extended their partnership with the club and together we have exciting plans to launch a new business club which will hopefully introduce Moors to a new audience.
I mentioned the Day Out With the Kids partnership last week and we will be launching the new Youth and Junior teams kit in the near future.
I’d also like to thank today’s match sponsor, Independent Groundworks Solutions, we appreciate your support and hope that you have an entertaining afternoon with us.
Finally, we are delighted to have also extended our relationship with the Forest Hotel and new signage at the Forest End of the ground will be in place imminently.
Back to today, as highlighted above, your vocal support really does make a difference - so enjoy the game and give the lads your full voice!
Best wishes, Darryl

PRE-MATCH WITH THE BOSS
Bradley Stevenson’s second goal in two games rescued a deserved point for the Moors in their National League match against Braintree Town at Damson Park.
The Moors fell behind in the seventh minute when John Akinde flicked the ball to striker Kyrell Lisbie, who cut inside and placed a smooth sidefooted shot into the bottom corner. It was the youngster’s third goal in the last two games.
Moors’ persistence was finally rewarded in the 81st minute when James Gale’s tenacious running created a golden opportunity for Stevenson. The playmaker’s first shot was heroically cleared off the line but the ball rebounded to Stevenson, who emphatically buried the second attempt in the bottom corner.

Jordan Tunnicliffe opened his account in the yellow and blue, as Solihull Moors win 0-1 against FC Halifax Town in the Vanarama National League. the Moors took the lead with Jordan Tunnicliffe scoring his first goal for the club. A free-kick was sent towards the far-post and won in the air by Olly Tipton, who headed the ball towards the centre of the box. Tunnicliffe met the pass and headed across Sam Johnson’s goal to make it 0-1.
In the final minute of the game, Sinfield had the ball rolled into him on the edge of the box, but the striker hit the ball over the bar as the game ended 0-1 to the Moors.

Moors were forced to settle for a point as Daniel Powell struck 10 minutes from time to earn Barnet a draw at the SportNation.bet Stadium.
Andrew Dallas opened the scoring with his first league goal of the season, as he was able to steer the ball into the bottom left corner after a ball over the top from Callum Howe.
However, with the elusive second goal evading the Moors, Barnet levelled in-front of their travelling fans as Powell found the corner of the net.

This summer, we hosted a holiday camp filled with fun and engaging activities that kept the kids energized and excited every day.
Some of our children eagerly awaited this adventure!
From thrilling tournaments to our very own Football Olympics, the children had countless opportunities to learn new skills, make friends, and most importantly, have a blast!
One of the highlights was our trip to Ninja Warrior. Some of our children had eagerly awaited this adventure, and it was a joy to watch them challenge themselves on the course while having a great time.
In addition to all the fun, we ensured the children were wellnourished by providing hot meals each day, keeping them fueled for the activities ahead. We also offered a few lucky kids the unforgettable experience of being flag bearers and ball retrievers at the first team games a moment they’ll cherish forever.
A big thank you to everyone who made this summer such a success. Your dedication and hard work have truly made a difference in these children's lives. Let’s keep up the great work as we move forward!
The second years travelled to Altrincham on Wednesday, winning 4-1 on the road against the Robins
The young Moors side went a goal up inside ten minutes after Kyle Moseley fired an effort into the bottom corner with his left.
The hosts would win a penalty after Tulloch pulled down an Alty player in the box but Neeson made the save to keep the Moors ahead.
Solihull doubled their lead through Bracher, who curled his effort in from 20 yards out just before the interval.
The turning point in the second-half was in Alty broke on the counter but Farrel made a strong challenge to launch a Solihull attack instead, with Moseley finishing the attack to make it three goals to nil.
The icing on the cake was just minutes away for Moors, as Miller beat two players were taken down in the box, winning a penalty for Solihull. Moseley dispatched from the spot to score his first hat-trick of the season.
Altrincham grabbed a goal late on after some poor defending with a cross looping over the Moors defence which was then finished by the Alty forward.
My story started as a kid, I wasn’t too into football. I had been to Blues games and it didn't offer much interest. It was the Moors that pulled me into football, specifically the 2017/18 season.
I wouldn’t change my journey
My very first match was a 3-3 with Barrow in a belter of a game. it was being so close to the game, closeness to the fans.
It was seeing Liam Daly tower at the back post, shouts of " go on dapo" as he single handedly ripped teams apart on his own, seeing much bigger teams travel in the cup and being an underdog story. It was a raw feeling and completely different experience from any Blues or Villa game.
From then on it was like an addiction, home and away me my dad and my cousin would travel all over the country through thick and thin.
From the highs of the great escape, the cup runs and going to Wembley twice to the heartbreak of Fylde, Rotherham in the cup and Grimsby. hopefully we can push one further so I can one day see my club in the EFL but either way I wouldn't change my journey for any other.
Welcome to Damson Park, Wealdstone FC
This Saturday we take on Wealdstone at Damson Park, a side that we face three times last season which saw the Moors advance into the semi’s of the Isuzu FA Trophy in a penalty shoot-out.

When there is a home fixture with Solihull Moors the safety officer has many duties to match sure that the game goes ahead without too many incidents and the planning of the game is of paramount importance.
To start off on day 1, which is usually every Tuesday of the week where there is a game the whole management team sit down to make all the plans for all departments.
To start off the safety officer needs to look at every aspect of the safety and make sure that things are put into place with the stadium and the stewarding agencies to be able to conduct themselves in a way that helps keep every spectator, whether they are Home or away fans safe from harm.
The safety officer will do some research before deciding how he / or she would need to put things into action, such as steward deployment, where they need to be stood during the game, an essential part of this is that every emergency gate would need a steward in case of evacuation from the stadium.
48 hours before the game takes place the Safety officer will need to conduct a stadium check for any faults in the structure, seating etc. This can take up to 2/3 hours because it is a thorough task that needs attention. On matchday this procedure will be copied by the Chief steward before the stadium is taken over by the safety operation.
The safety officer and the chief steward will separate, and the safety officer will go to the control room and the chief steward will stay in the main bowl to make sure all stewards are following the protocol set out by the safety officer. During the whole game the safety officer will keep an eye on the whole stadium via the clubs CCTV and every time there is an incident, this will be logged onto the matchday Log.
At 80 minutes of the game the safety officer will instruct all gate stewards to open their game for the end of the game, when the crowd has dispersed the stewards will do a sweep of the stand, again to make sure nothing has been left behind by a fan and they will check all structures, the stadium is locked and then handed back to the club.
In summary the main function of the safety officer is to do research on the profile of any fans that come into the stadium and to make necessary plans to keep every one safe.

The latest pictures from Dicky King from our last two games are in over the Bank Holiday weekend!
1/ Skipper Ozzy having a frank exchange of views with the referee having been fouled for the umpteenth time, I know it’s a familiar pose, but we all know he loves the officials really.
2/ Labs having a bit of post warm-up fun with one of the ball boys from a junior team I cover though the season, as a matchday photographer I think it’s important to cover the whole experience from not only the players perspective but also the fans and I try to capture the agony but more importantly the joy, the smiles on their faces in this one makes the picture.
3/ A goalmouth Melee, when I attend the training session on a Friday, I’m all eyes and ears when they practice the set pieces and what signals are used, this sometimes enables me to have a good idea who will be on the end of it, and occasionally I’m able to capture a good goalmouth shot, but for every decent one there are ten that are out of focus, or the ball is nowhere near .
4/ On to Jack Stevens at Halifax, who doesn’t like an away win?, the concentration on Jacks face and his body position makes it a good picture, Jack had beaten the defender, who is looking on from the floor, enhances the frame. It really was a ‘backs to the wall performance’, there is another name for it, but it’s unprintable in a family programme. I think that it was what was needed, and one that will give the team confidence going forward into the season.
5/ Lozza always seems to appear in this section, always without trying gives me something different for the my pictures, on this occasion he is celebrating a big 3 points and his first League clean sheet, or is he………..?
