In Construction
My Role: Coordinated and produced drawing sets in Revit for all phases. Responsible for 3D BIM and design presentations. Led production of construction drawings and consultant coordination for the performance hall.
Project Overview: The future music building for the Harry W. Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities & Technology forms the heart of The University of Texas Dallas’ new cultural district, the Edith and Peter O’Donnell Jr. Athenaeum. As the new home of the university’s music department, the building offers state-of-the-art performance, rehearsal, recording, and classroom spaces, catering to the school’s diverse programs.
The hallmark of the new building is a 680-seat music performance hall with a vineyardstyle configuration to accommodate diverse live music. This spatial arrangement locates seats on all sides of the stage, providing closer connections between musicians and audience members. Acoustics, sight lines, and comfort were the key drivers in creating a warm and intimate space for all sizes of performances. A dedicated choir balcony is incorporated in the upper mezzanine level behind the stage. The defining feature of the all-wood clad hall is the dynamic wood liner that encompasses the upper walls and ceiling. This linear wood liner takes subtle inspiration from the staff lines found on sheet music; its pattern was closely designed with acoustical engineers to absorb and reflect sound for an optimized listening experience from every seat. morphosis.com

Mammoth Lake, CA
Adaptive Reuse - Type V-B Construction
13,000 ft²
Completion: TBD
My Role: Joined the project team at the end of the Design Development phase. Responsible for producing construction drawings in BIM, addressing plan check comments, and coordinating with consultants. Led detailing, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the design.
Project Overview: Mammoth Lake is a small mountain community in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains just south of Yosemite National Park. Home to Mammoth mountain, one of the most popular ski destination in West, the town’s housing composition is drastically skewed toward condominiums units, high-end seasonal and nightly rentals, leading to high cost and low availability of full-time resident housing unit within the town. These economic factors have led to critical need for immediate affordable workforce housing for the town’s long-term residential and employees.
This project addresses that need by converting two adjacent industrial buildings sited on the periphery of the town into 11 one-bedroom units earmarked for Mammoth Lake residents earning below 80% of the area’s median income.
The full scope of conversion includes eleven ~ 640 Sf one-bedroom apartments with six garages, interior walls, plumbing, mechanical and electrical upgrades, an on-site laundry room, secured bike storage, an exterior tenant community area and water conscious landscaping. In addition, there will be a new pitched roof to replace the existing flat roof, which has proved problematic and costly, given the massive snow accumulation in the region.
This project is a contemporary case study of fundamental sustainability strategy of reclamation, transforming an unremarkable and underused structure into urgently needed housing. Kevindalyarchitects.com

Core and Shell - Type V-A Construction Completion: 2020
My Role: I joined the project team at the end of the Design Development phase and led the project through the permitting process. My responsibilities included the production of construction drawings, consultant coordination, and detailing in AutoCAD. I was also in charge of designing the tenant space on the ground floor and managed it from SD through to CA.
Project Overview: 3921 Sunset is a two-story mixed-use commercial building located in Sunset Junction. The program includes a 3,300 SF ground-floor restaurant with an outdoor dining area, and 2,800 SF of office space on the second floor. The design of the outdoor dining area and circulation was driven by the site’s pedestrian-oriented context. The strategic concentration of utilities and proposed service deliveries allowed us to maximize the limited street frontage while enhancing indoor-outdoor connectivity and optimizing leasable area for our developer client.

Interior Fit-out - Type I-B Construction Completion: 2018
My Role: I was responsible of design, Rhino modeling with design iterations, rendering, design presentation, production of construction drawings in CAD and consultant coordination.
Project Overview: In late 2017, our studio was commissioned to design a new commissary within the recently completed Plaza Building in the historic Lot Studio. The commissary was intended to function as a daytime restaurant and an event space during the early evenings.
The design features oak wood flooring and wall panels in the dining area, which transition seamlessly to a white ceiling through a series of radial geometries. Initially, perforated gypsum was selected for its acoustic properties to achieve the desired sound quality in the space. However, we re-imagined the perforated gypsum circles—formed around the VRF units—as a graphic design element, creating a visual motif reminiscent of clouds in the sky. This concept was carried through into the aluminum panels in the kitchen and bar counter, creating a cohesive and dynamic design language.

Remodel/Renovation - Existing Split-Level House
Completion: 2021
My Role: I was responsible of design, Rhino modeling with design iterations, rendering, design presentation, production of construction drawings in CAD entitlement process and communication with the client.
Project Overview: Situated on a sloped site in Malibu, this renovation reimagines a 2,250-square-foot split-level residence while preserving the original wood detailing that defines its character. The scope includes an interior remodel of the main living spaces—bedrooms, bathrooms, and the ocean-facing balcony—maintaining the existing layout while introducing a new planning concept and curated furnishings. Minor shell upgrades, including new windows and shading devices, enhance comfort and performance without compromising architectural integrity.
The second phase focuses on interior finishes and a redesigned front façade to create a cohesive procession from street to sea. A refined entry sequence—with new paving, garage door, and integrated lighting—complements the updated interiors, which feature new millwork, lighting, and modernized bathrooms. As an as-of-right project under Malibu’s “<50% Remodel” guideline, the design balances entitlement efficiency with a carefully tailored and high-quality outcome.
My Role: Joined end of DD phase and was responsible for design and handling the interface between Rhino and Revit, rationalizing and documenting complex geometries. Additionally, I assisted in drafting details for the project in Revit.
Project Overview: the new Angle Lake Transit Station and Plaza is an Envision certified sustainable mixed-use facility consisting of a 1-acre connecting plaza and community event spaces, a drop-off area for light rail users, retail space with dedicated bike storage and parking and a 35,000 square-foot parcel for future transit-oriented development. It also includes a parking structure for 1,150 cars designed to accommodate conversion to new future uses. Brooksscarpa.com
Brooks + Scarpa Architects ANGLE LAKE STATION AND PLAZA
Project Overview: My first project at Brooks + Scarpa was to design a bus shelter for a local shuttle stop near the station. While the studio had originally proposed a seating area within the station’s entry space, Sound Transit requested an alternative location closer to the street.
This shelter was one of several distinct yet interrelated elements we designed and detailed in conjunction with the parking area and adjacent plaza. It needed to share a cohesive identity with the larger project, contributing to a unified architectural language across the site.
The design aimed to create seamless integration between site elements. A landscape wall gradually widens to form seating, while a sculptural overhead surface bends, tapers, and gently meets the wall—blurring the boundary between architecture and landscape.
