OUT OF MY BUBBLE OUT OF MY BUBBLE 3 DAYS OF STEPPING

Last month, I had the chance to live in a village for three days. It was a completely different experience from living in the city. During my stay, I've learned a lot about the differences between city and village life, and I had the chance to interact with the locals, especially the kids.

When I arrived at the village, I was amazed at how peaceful and calm it was. There had been no high-rise buildings, no traffic jams, and no rush-hour crowds. Instead, I have seen wide open fields, chirping birds, and fresh air. The first thing that had struck me was how different the people were. They've been friendly, hospitable, and always willing to lend a helping hand since I've arrived. Everyone knows each other, and the sense of community was strong. I have been welcomed into the village with open arms and felt right at home.

During our stay, we had decided to organize a program for the local children. We wanted to make learning fun and engaging. We had created a math game that encouraged them to learn while having fun. The game had involved solving math problems using a whiteboard, markers, and math questions as in multiplication, subtraction, addition, and division. The children had to solve the problem independently and come up with the correct answers. To those who had answered correctly, they got a point. But, in the end, they all received a prize. We had spent hours playing this game with the kids, and it had been heart warming to see them so engaged and excited about learning.

The children had been eager to participate and were always eager to solve more problems. We were impressed by their enthusiasm and determination to learn, despite the limited resources available to them. Living in the village for three days was an eye-opening experience. I learned a lot about the importance of community, simplicity, and sustainability. I had also learned that even with limited resources, it is possible to create meaningful change and make a difference in people's lives. Life in the village was slow-paced and centered around family and community. People took the time to enjoy nature and each other's company.

I left the village feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and grateful for the experience. Overall, the experience has been unforgettable, and I have left the village feeling inspired and grateful. I have been touched by the warm hospitality of the locals and have been humbled by the resilience and determination of the children. I hope to continue making a positive impact in their lives and to help them reach their full potential. (NSK)
