"Speedy" The Fast Turkey!

“SPEEDY”

F A S E T H T TURKEY

There was a turkey named “Speedy”.

Speedy was known for his lightning speed, his big heart and his ability watch over people.

One Day, Speedy was resting under a tree with falling orange leaves in front of a small neighborhood with a beautiful orange and yellow sunset.

He watched as the kids were running back to their houses, they could feel the autumn breeze through their hair.

They ran home extremely happy about their Thanksgiving plans.

The next day was a joyful Friday for the neighborhood because tomorrow was Thanksgiving Day!

Who wouldn’t be happy on this peaceful holiday with their family?

One girl to be exact!

She was so ungrateful and selfish over her things, and anything else she ever received.

Speedy, however, has seen her behave like this before, but What made her sulk so badly this time?

Speedy is a very noisy turkey so he flashed down the hill by the sad girl's house to listen to her parent's conversation.

Her mother seemed to be stressed over Thanksgiving. She let out a deep sigh and said, “How can we celebrate without a turkey?” “It’s the biggest part of the meal.”

The father seemed worried, then he looked and saw speedy by the window and suddenly had an idea. “I have an idea”, the father says.

Speedy became suspicious about the parent's upcoming plans and now Speedy understood why the girl was so sad.

After they agreed on something they put on their coats and went outside.

Confused, Speedy thinks to himself “ What are they up to”?

Then Suddenly…..

Swoop!!

Speedy gets caught in their net and the parents snicker as they head back inside.

Speedy then picks at the net with his beak, and He was so surprised the net fell apart so easily, and now he can escape!

Speedy then sees an open window and takes his chance to leap out and use his lightning speed.

He ran freely with the cold breeze hitting his feathers. Speedy was grateful he escaped that hot kitchen.

After Mom returns to the kitchen to prepare the turkey, she finds he has escaped.

“How did he escape?”

She yells.

Then signs and says sadly to her husband “Now, what are we going to do”?

Suddenly, the phone rings and the father answers. He then slowly turned to the mother and said happily. “ Honey, the neighbors next door would like for all of us to join their family for Thanksgiving!”

So, the sad girl and her family accepted the invitation, and they all had a happy Thanksgiving.

Meanwhile, speedy watches the family from a safe distance happy to see the girl and her family are now happy.
