LTOs: Boosting Traffic and Sales

Every promotion cycle is an opportunity to thrill guests with great food, amazing choices and fresh, seasonal ingredients. Our chefs and culinary teams draw inspiration from the latest food trends and guest insights to create dishes that guests crave. Welcome to the Winter-Spring 2026 promotion cycle, with programs running between January and April in many of our retail locations.

JANUARY

We’re wishing you a very veggie new year with delicious Mindful Heroes to kick off 2026. Guests will find lots of healthful veggies, like portobello mushrooms and broccoli rabe, featured in this month’s dishes. Love of Food Chef Coby Baumann has created a savory Haitian Jerk Pork Rice Bowl that tantalizes the taste buds.

FEBRUARY

Great food is at the heart of everything we do, from culinary masterpieces to convenient grab-and-go. Simply to Go offers guests delicious sandwiches, salads, snacks and desserts for any time of day, especially when they’re pressed for time.

MARCH

LTOs are a great way to attract guests to your café with new dishes and exciting flavors. Guests will find plenty of both with Mindful’s Mexican Street Corn Crunch Wrap and Seared Lemongrass Tofu Noodle Bowl! Love of Food’s new Curried Carnitas Huarache entrée is simply too good to pass up.

APRIL

Global flavors are popular because guests are curious about food experiences around the world. Our April lineup is filled with intriguing flavors, from a Sweet & Spicy Asian Chicken Wrap and Colombian Ropa Vieja to a Morning Tostada Stack with Mango Salsa and an Italian Herb Pesto Farro Risotto.

The Power of LTOs

LTOs (Limited Time Offers) bring excitement to your café and make it easy to spice up a menu with variety and on-trend tastes. These innovative menu offerings generate guest interest and frequency, resulting in higher sales, profitability and check average. In simplest terms, they’re a big deal.

Our guests are at the heart of every LTO offering, which is why we’re always reviewing trends and consumer insights. Everything in the promotions series is guest-centric and every decision is based on a guest’s motivations and key drivers. Culinary development always starts with data: research from Datassential® and other sources, research from our vendor partners and our own sales reports. With this information, we can identify movements, trends and ingredients to develop LTOs that entice and attract guests— and keep them coming back again and again.

LTOs AND MENU SERVICE PLANS

If you don’t have access to the Promotion Menu Service Plans, you must request a MSP through the site request portal on MySodexo.com. If you do not see the MSP as a choice in the MSP drop-down, select “Other,” and a blank box will appear to manually enter the MSP name. Gathering and Measuring Guest Data

During the LTO development process, we rely on information from varied sources.

DATASSENTIAL

We use Datassential menu trends and menu adoption cycles to begin development. The menu adoption cycles show us ingredient trends from inception to ubiquity which allow us to understand fastest growing menu ingredients.

CONSUMER VILLAGE

This community is made up of thousands of consumers who shop at cafés like ours. We talk with them about everything food-related, including foods they’d like to experience, feedback on our products and recipes, and much more. Their direct input is shared and incorporated into every aspect of the development and execution of promotions.

INFOR

Our enterprise POS system gives us the power to capture and analyze millions of guest data points and to help guide strategic discussions with clients. We use real-time, real guest, transaction data to understand your guests as individuals, and create products and solutions that they want to experience.

Together, these unique tools and processes enable us to better understand the guest as an individual and capitalize on our insight to create solutions.

We’re Celebrating Chefs!

Food is what we do best, with the best culinary talent in the industry creating new dishes for our café guests each month. This cycle, Love of Food explores international cuisine, from Haitian and Honduran to Mexican and Asian and showcases four award-winning dishes and their chefs. Mindful offers nine brand-new Heroes, along with many recent favorites, with their big flavors, full plates and delicious choices, to entice guests into the café. Promote these incredible dishes with POS signage at serving stations and with digital screens throughout the café on the run dates indicated. Planograms Maximize Sales and Revenue

Planograms guide guest behavior by increasing product visibility and boosting sales. They’re more than just diagrams; they’re strategic tools that ensure the most popular and profitable products receive prime slots in coolers and merchandisers. Planograms are also designed to give your café guest variety and balance for all dayparts. Each cooler at your unit should have a QR code sticker you can scan for an up-to-date customized planogram. Or you can visit the planogram section of Retail Ranger and follow the decision tree to view the cold beverage planograms for your Segment, value tier, partner agreement and cooler setup. QR codes are available from Meyers, if yours is missing or damaged.

Keep Top Snacking Items Stocked

Today’s all-day snacking trend helps you increase revenue when you offer the right products at competitive prices. We’ve identified standout products within each snacking subcategory, and the list is on Retail Ranger under ITZ Snacking > Core Snacks FY26.
