Judy Hoberman is president of Selling In A Skirt, a company focused on empowering professional women. She’s an award-winning international speaker, best-selling author, trainer and leading authority on women in leadership and sales. With over 3 decades in business, she combines wisdom and humor with her behavior shaping strategies and is often described as “transformational.” She was a TEDx speaker, as well as the author of four books, including “Selling in a Skirt” and “Walking on the Glass Floor.” She was named as one of 14 “Sales Pros Building Trust” from LinkedIn and also named as a “Woman To Watch” from Thrive Global for International Women’s Day. Judy was also recognized as the “Coach of the Year” from Powerful Professionals. Her mission is to help one woman a day by following an important philosophy—”Women Want To Be Treated

Equally... Not Identically.®” When we asked Judy what she considers to be her greatest professional accomplishment she told us, “While winning numerous awards for sales, production and recruiting, my favorite and greatest professional accomplishment was being recognized and honored with ‘The Character and Integrity Award.’” As far as goals for the future, she wants to be part of the change in bringing more qualified women into leadership positions and working with companies to close the gap by attracting and retaining top female talent and bring an employer of choice. At the end of a long day, Judy think about what she’s accomplished for the day... “Did I make a difference and did I make someone smile? It’s not always about completing all the tasks on your To-Do list. For me, it is about my priorities and that is always Family First.”

Jana Karika

Jana Karika’s worn many hats including Marine wife, mom, women’s ministry leader, ESL and writing instructor, non-profit organizer, cancer survivor—but no matter what hat she’s wearing, the faith that draws her to love God and love people defines her. Five years ago, she had a breast cancer diagnosis—undergoing surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. That journey inspired her to form a company to produce materials to help cancer patients thrive during and after treatment. With support of her husband, Ken, SweetHawk LLC was born. She began the process of engineering an ice bath mechanism for hands and feet to help chemo patients preserve nails and perhaps minimize peripheral neuropathy during chemo infusions. She hopes to see that product in oncology infusion rooms soon. The majority of Jana’s time and effort are focused on women’s ministry as the Restoration Church Women’s Ministry Director where she teaches women’s in-depth Bible study, as well as organizes events to facilitate relationships among women of the church. In 2022, she had news that her breast cancer had spread. She immediately began treatment and is now in remission with a renewed understanding of how precious time is. She’s started a project she’s dreamed of for years! With her B.A. in English from University of Missouri and M.A. in Multicultural Literature from East Carolina University, Jana’s always valued the power of a wellwritten story. Her nonprofit Keep Reading DFW gifts high-quality storybooks to the poorest communities. “We need to be reminded no matter how hard or sad things seem, your story isn’t over. God is still writing this story, and He promises that it ends well,” she said. “Above anything I’ve accomplished, the women I’ve served alongside have inspired me and shown me what it is to be a true friend and neighbor.”
