TXN

Texan by Nature (TxN), a Texas-led conservation nonprofit founded by former first lady Laura Bush and responsible for bringing together conservation and businesses to positively impact natural resources, prosperity and health across Texas. Texan by Nature exists to advance conservation that is beneficial to people, prosperity, and natural resources. TxN partners deeply with conservation groups and business, acting as an accelerator for conservation groups and a strategic partner for business.

WHO TxN IS

In 2011, former first lady Mrs. Laura Bush founded Texan by Nature to unite conservation and business leaders who believe our state’s prosperity is dependent on the conservation of our natural resources.

WHAT TxN DOES

They bring conservation and business together. They amplify projects and activate new investment in conservation which returns real benefits for people, prosperity, and natural resources. They achieve their goals through their TxN Membership pro- gram, Conservation Partner Network, Texan by Nature Certification program, Symposia series, Conservation Wrangler program, Texan by Nature 20, and other statewide initiatives like the Texas Water Action Collaborative. They activate new investments and amplify ideas in conservation that are Texan-led, collaborative, and data-based.
