ANNOUNCES NEW VENUE
The McAllen Heritage Center’s annual and popular dinner fundraiser is moving to Macaroni Grill in McAllen for this year’s event. As usual, the museum will sell tickets that may be redeemed over a four-month period at the restaurant which includes two steak dinners with the trimmings, dessert, and a bottle of house wine all for $50.00 per ticket. Macaroni Grill will offer in-house dining and curbside pick-up.
The museum is also excited to offer purchase of tickets online this year on their website: www.mcallenheritagecenter. com. The tickets may also be purchased at the museum or from any of the museum board members. A paper ticket will not be required should supporters purchase online, but a QR code will be sent to your phone which you can save until you are ready to enjoy your dinner.
The event which was originally held at the museum grew significantly since 2006. In 2014, in an effort to better accommodate their supporters, MHC partnered with Tony Roma’s of McAllen to offer the dinner at the restaurant. This collaboration has proven a complete success and of great benefit to support the mission of the center to preserve and educate about McAllen’s vibrant past. The move to Macaroni Grill for the 2021 event allows MHC to continue working with the great management team of Rick Guerra, CEO of Pasta Ventures and Russell Walker, General Manager of Romano’s Macaroni Grill. For more information about the museum or the fundraiser, please contact MHC at (956) 687-1904 or call Elva M. Cerda, Museum Director at 681-2861. MHC is located at 301 S. Main St (corner of Chicago & Main St.) in McAllen with free parking for visitors in the rear parking area. There is no admission fee although door donations are accepted.
