The early childhood curriculum is designed to meet students' needs, interests and abilities to foster their holistic development. Our curriculum is inspired by Dr Howard Garner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences, while our student-centric pedagogy is inspired by Reggio- Emilia approach.

Developing the whole child, not just academic aptitude

Our curriculum is based on Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligence Theory. Going with the traditional belief of IQ as the best predictor of intellect, schools focus on language, numerical and spatial abilities. Instead, based on evidence from disparate sources, the MI theory claims that humans have several relatively discrete intellectual capacities. We expose young students to eight independent intelligence for holistic growth.

After mastering fundamental concepts in the primary school, students go through a more rigorous academic program and learn from real-world situations.

Music & Performing Arts

School of Music and Performing Arts aims to nurture the artist that’s alive in each one of us through Music, Dance and Drama.

Vocal Dance

An 8-year-long program where students will learn Rhythm, Voice training, Notations, Ear training and Music in culture & Technology and Utilities across Indian music and world music.

Students are exposed to the basics of contemporary, Hip Hop, Robotics, Indian Folk, and Bollywood Fusion. They are also exposed to Western Forms of Dance and Indie Classical Fusion in higher grades.

Drama

Students learn about emotions, language, voice modulation and the art of presenting theatricals. The Drama program is woven into two theatricals through dance.

Technology

Technology is not just a text at Universal Asmita – it is a way of learning & a way of life! At Universal Asmita, Technology is integral to bringing together the learners, teachers, parents and community and not just a parade of new gadgetry.

Classroom Coding

Interactive technology is a vital part of the new and modern classrooms. It is a powerful tool that enables teachers to present information and complex ideas in an easy-to-understand method.

Students have access to the Laptop Lab, where each student works on a structured ICT curriculum. Students learn to ‘Code’ as a part of their curriculum through the ‘Scratch’ programming language.

Robotics

Fosters curiosity, creativity, and imagination in young minds; and inculcates skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning and physical computing.
