Community Wheels welcomes you aboard one of our social outings for 2025.

Cancellation Policy

Due to a large increase of last minute cancellations. We wish to remind you of our cancellation policy.

It is the responsibility of the service user and/or their carers to inform Community Wheels about any cancellation of bookings as soon as possible.

Cancellations fees are as follows:

Within 24hrs - 100% of trip cost

Within 48-72 hrs - 50% of trip cost

72hrs or more notice - No Charge

If you need to cancel your social outing that falls on a weekend please call 0431 139 966 after 7am and the driver of the day will be able to cancel your trip

Refunds

Prepaid outings are non-refundable unless we can resell your ticket or seat on the bus

When you see this symbol please note walking will be involved during this outing

Bookings

Call us on 02 8868 1400 to make your social outing bookings or send us an email at mail@communitywheels.org.au.

Social outing bookings will be accepted for up to 2 months in advance with bookings opening on the following dates:

Monday 9th December for January and February outings

Monday 10th February for March and April outings

Monday 14th April for May and June outings

Bookings will be placed on an expression of interest list and not a guaranteed booking.

Bookings will be taken at anytime during those months, there is no need to call on the opening date.

Pre-pay events must be paid by the date required once your booking is confirmed. Please see below payment details: You can pay for your trip

The Day Before Your Outing

You will receive a phone call or message the day before your outing to advise you of your pick-up time. Please be ready on the day and wait where you can see the vehicle approaching.

Remember to wear comfortable shoes and bring everything you will need on the day including medications, ID, seniors and or concession cards, mobility aids and water if required. As the weather can change quickly we ask that you bring along a hat, jumper and umbrella if the outing is an outside event.

Our Bus Volunteers

We are lucky to have a small group of bus volunteers, who are only able to provide general support. They are to assist you while you are entering and exiting the bus. Our volunteers do not provide individual assistance, if you require one-on-one support, please bring your own carer along. Please remember that our bus volunteers are giving their time to help make CWI outings a success so please treat them with kindness and respect

Do you have a friend that lives within the Parramatta or Cumberland area who isn’t using our service?

Invite them along to join in the fun on a social outing

Once they register with both Community Wheels and My Aged Care and attend a social outing with us, you will receive a free social outing trip on us.

Free outing does not include prepaid events and is to the valid of $40

CWI preferred payment method is EFTPOS with all our vehicles now fitted with EFTPOS terminals.

We would greatly appreciate this form of payment as we work towards being cashless

Please note that all Community Wheels outings do have wet weather back up plans.

Our outings are subject to last minute changes due to weather and venues
