National Anthem

Australians all let us rejoice

For we are one and free

We’ve golden soil and wealth for toil

Our home is girt by sea

Our land abounds in nature’s gifts

Of beauty rich and rare

In history’s page, let every stage

Advance Australia Fair

In joyful strains then let us sing

Advance Australia Fair

Beneath our radiant Southern Cross

We’ll toil with hearts and hands

To make this Commonwealth of ours

Renowned of all the lands

For those who’ve come across the seas

We’ve boundless plains to share

With courage let us all combine

To Advance Australia Fair

In joyful strains then let us sing

Advance Australia Fair

School Prayer

Our loving God, who sent your Son to be the light of the world

We thank you for the Snowy Mountains Grammar School

May it be a place of learning, nurture and growth, With love, care and respect for all. Bless all who teach, all who learn, all who govern, and those who administer and provide support.

May the light of your word show us the way; The light of your truth fill our minds, and The light of your life fill our hearts; Let our light so shine before all people that they may see our good works, and glorify our Father who is in heaven;

Through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

School Song

Beethoven, Symphony No. 9

(lyrics by Senior Music class of 1999 and Year 11 Music class of 2009)

In the mountains we have gathered From the hills and from the sea Students who have built a school that Values truth and quality We move toward a future of hope Experience and knowledge are our goals Here we stand and proudly sing of Snowy Mountains Grammar School

Who are we? Students from the mountains high Who are we? Students reaching for the sky Who are we? Snowy Mountains Grammar School In the High Country

Every challenge we are faced with We will strive to overcome Students who have come together Each one wanting to belong Through the years as we move forward New horizons to explore We will stand and proudly sing of Snowy Mountains Grammar School
