In Africa nothing is wasted. When a porcupine drops a quill, it’s made into a mirror, votives and more.

The sea grass console and hand carved leaf were made in Indonesia. “ I love traveling and finding new artisans .”

Nature at its finest… all natural elements for these clients.

Lucretia has her own bespoke line made in Hickory NC, all fabrics are sustainable and high performance, so dogs, kids and your drunk friends …. are no problem. “ I found this tree company in California, ‘it’s so realistic, it’s uncanny.”

“Creating glazes while keeping the white oak color was a challenge, white oak yellows over time, so we needed to glaze it; it took several attempts…but we got it.”

The chandelier is made from coconuts, fun fact. The wall-covering is grass cloth.

Lucretia found antiques to adorn these hand made shelves. We chose ceramic countertops, is it a novelty, like quartz ? Time will tell which is the most durable.

“You definitely need a ladder, the cabinets stretch to the 14ft ceilings, and the wow factor outweighed the convenience , we added the majority of the storage below; for the everyday use.”

hand drew and designed this bar, adding inlays with a flame wood mahogany.

She added a modern black and white exotic top, to mix it up a bit. Made in Portugal .

“I chose a leather chandelier for the grand foyer, which has several colors and sizes to choose from. Sustainable living and supporting others is always our goal…. Peter Busch’s fiancé, Ashly Albers, loves South Africa, so we incorporated that feel throughout.”
