Your gifts make a difference and directly impact our ministries. We provide scholarship grants, assist our immigration outreach, fund advocacy efforts aligned with our justice and peace initiatives, and target immediate aid when needs arise, including aid for flood victims in Pajaro Valley, California.
Goodness Around the World: International Sisters and Ministries
The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur (SNDdeN) are active across five continents and 14 countries, including several Sisters from the U.S. East-West Province. The Nigeria Province celebrated their Diamond Jubilee. These Sisters serve in the apostolates of education, healthcare, pastoral ministry and justice and peace. They recently had nine Novices make First Vows.

Retirement
As Sisters transition from full-time ministry work, they remain active and continue to positively impact many community organizations through volunteer work, tutoring and engaging in the ministry of prayer.
Sister Rosalie Pizzo, SNDdeN was named this year’s alum honoree at Notre Dame High School in downtown San Jose during its annual Women of Impact event. Sister Rosalie, a graduate of the NDSJ class of 1952, has spent a lifetime making a difference through education, pastoral ministry, social justice and religious leadership.

The Sisters continue the long tradition of educating and working with, and on behalf of, those living in poverty.

Educating for Life
The Sisters awarded 15 grants for educational programming and scholarships for pre-K through adult education.
The Academy of Notre Dame (NDA) in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts, has had a longstanding relationship with St. Patrick’s School in Lowell, Massachusetts. For many years, they have partnered to establish a Catholic school continuum encouraging eighth-grade students from St. Patrick’s to consider the Academy for high school. Pictured are siblings who started their education at St. Patrick’s and are now students in NDA’s Upper School.

SNDdeN at the United Nations

Sister Isabelle Izika, SNDdeN (pictured center) is the NGO representative for the SNDdeN at the United Nations. She joins Sister Patricia Shea, SNDdeN, Notre Dame Academy (NDA) Hingham Principal Mary O'Brien Merrigan, NDA Hingham President Annemarie Lynch Kenneally, Sister Jane McAndrews, SNDdeN, and Sister Ginny Scally, SNDdeN for Founder’s Day activities.
