POSSIBILITIES. Get ready. When you bring your sense of curiosity to learning, SMSU professors do everything they can to help you succeed. Small classes mean more personalized attention from professors throughout your whole SMSU experience. Expect to be seen, known, and encouraged at SMSU. Combine hands-on experiences and practical knowledge with theories and concepts learned in your classes. Work on a research project with a professor and present your results at the annual Undergraduate Research Conference — or even at a state or national conference. There are outdoor classrooms, and the more traditional type, too. Personal interaction with professors helps you see new possibilities.

A TRADITION OF

EXCELLENCE. A Winning Formula. That’s what our Division II Mustang athletes find as they pursue their goals in the classroom and on the court or playing field. Mustang team members also interact with and volunteer in the community and have earned the NCAA Division II Award of Excellence 19 for community engagement. Our teams are competitive, with student-athletes often named to all-academic teams on conference, regional, and national levels. 19 We love our Mustangs! Mustang Maniacs generate a lot of noise and energy for our SMSU teams. Intramural sports offer fun and fitness for students who want to enjoy friendly competition. A campus Wellness Center is a busy place for students interested in a healthy lifestyle.

SMSU.EDU/FINANCIAL AID

MAKE A WISE

INVESTMENT. Capitalize on value. With one of the most robust scholarship offerings of peer institutions, most SMSU students receive financial assistance. The average financial aid package is $10,027. With banded tuition, credits between 12-18 cost the same, so your tuition doesn’t change. With just a few exceptions, nearly everyone at SMSU qualifies for in-state tuition, so if you’re from out of state or even another country, you’re a winner when it comes to the cost of your college education. Additional scholarship opportunities help lower the price even further. It’s true that college is an investment, but it doesn’t have to be an extravagant one at SMSU. Go to www.smsu.edu/scholarships to learn more.
