gold rush days! You are about to take part in a tradition at southwest minnesota state university. mustang “Gold Rush” Days symbolizes the start of your academic and social quest for success. A “Gold Rush” by definition is: 1: a rush to newly discovered goldfields in pursuit of riches 2: the headlong pursuit of sudden wealth in a new or lucrative field 3: to lavish attention on 4: to secure a pledge of membership 5: a thronging of people usually to a new place in search of wealth

The various activities during the days and nights will give you the opportunity to smile, laugh, and have fun with your fellow classmates. This is the beginning of a new chapter in your life, and we want to start it off with a BANG!

“sex signals” SmSU Theatre

Blending a unique combination of improvisational comedy, education and audience participation, "sex signals" provides a provocative, inyour-face look at issues surrounding dating, sex, and date rape on college campuses. through the use of humor, the show explores how mixed messages, gender role stereotypes, and unrealistic fantasies contribute to misunderstandings between the sexes. students are engaged in a candid discussion on dating and the realities of date rape as they are challenged to provide solutions that will better improve communications in interpersonal relationships.
