Title: Strength of the Phalanx: Increasing Staff Connectedness

Description: In August 2022, 8.5% of teachers polled at a rural high school felt connected to other adults in the building. This research studied staff connectedness by integrating community building activities and common professional development at monthly staff meetings. The study found a need for more dedicated time for collaboration.

Description: Students often dislike math class due to a variety of reasons. One of the many reasons is the level of difficulty around solving math problems. Students were followed academically and emotionally for twelve weeks while implementing strategies to increase mathematical discourse and problem solving.
