Quite often, our clients will concur with our recommendation that connecting a system to the internet – properly secured, behind a firewall and router – aids in the ability to properly provide maintenance and support. Once online, a system can be monitored, allowing us to detect and diagnose a problem... in many cases before a client is even aware there’s been an issue.

For our hotel and resort clients, for example, this reduces guest impact and eases last-minute calls seeking assistance. Internet access can be provided by the client, with certain specifications; SMPL Systems can also provide independent internet access when our maintenance service agreement is in place.

When users unfamiliar with a system’s operation require live support or a simple configuration change is needed, our support team can remotely access the system in real-time. In many cases, our team can simply “look over a user's shoulder” online or even deploy virtual reality-based support systems to assist in making changes and allow the user to move ahead with their day.

MAINTAINING OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

A proper preventative maintenance plan is key to extending the life of any commercial AVL system and preventing risk of downtime, ultimately saving our client’s time and money.

Beyond the expeditious responsiveness of our Service Department to standard service calls that may occur, SMPL Systems has developed our Managed Services agreements to perform routine scheduled cleaning and preventative maintenance of the systems we've installed.
