We believe education should be tailored, never off the rack. Our Signature Programs are designed to give each student, from JK to Grade 12, an opportunity to maximize their unique talents, strengths, and learning style and discover a passion they didn’t know they had.

Global Citizenship: How girls learn to be worldly and wise.

Professional Internships: How girls go beyond theory.

STEM and Robotics: How girls break barriers.

Our renowned Global Citizenship program goes beyond standard curriculum to open up the world to our students beyond the classroom.

We know real life possibilities shape character and enhance life skills.

Every Grade 11 student completes a 3-6 week immersive internship, working with professionals across various industries. They earn an OSSD Cooperative Education credit and gain work experience, references, and career insights to help with university applications and their post-SMLS plans.

Our senior Robotics Team was the first all-girls team to join FIRST, and the team consistently earns awards at provincial, national and international competitions.

We prioritize STEM and Robotics for all ages, challenging gender biases early and regularly throughout a girl’s learning journey.

Arts and Design: How girls channel their creativity.

Active Healthy Living: How girls live better.

We offer students opportunities to explore communications technology, performing arts, visual arts, and their integration with STEAM subjects. Each year, they showcase their talents through music, art exhibits, and theatre, participating in various aspects of production and performance.

SMLS’s Active Healthy Living Program helps students build lifelong healthy habits.

In addition to competitive athletics, students have opportunities to try sports without formal commitment. “Wellness Wednesdays” are also part of the schedule, offering time for students to practice personal wellness.
