The private course features views of the lake from nearly every hole, including the picturesque island green on hole seven (left). The course, originally designed by R.F. Loving Jr. and opened in 1981, underwent a $5.2 million renovation in 2007, headed up by noted golf course architect Richard Mandell of Pinehurst, N.C.
