To see your digital advertisement go to https://classifieds.pressdemocrat.com/marketplace/# and select the category and classification you placed it under when you made the purchase.

Spotlight Listings – you can “boost” your advertisement into this position for $35. This will place your advertisement on the landing page as shown.

When a reader clicks on one of the categories, you can also have your advertisement placed in a Featured Listing for a $20 fee.

If you are interested in either a Spotlight or Feature Listing placement, go online and modify your ad and click on the Spotlight or Feature Listing button as shown.

The default view of your digital advertisement will be very similar to what is in the print version. However, you’ll notice a “Show more” link that when clicked will expand to show the reader all of the photos and details.

Notice the ✶ by the price. This allows a reader to make this ad a favorite so that they can return to it later.

The “Respond to this ad” box appears so the reader can directly respond to you without you needing to put your email in the advertisement.

At the bottom are buttons where the reader can share this advertisement on Twitter and Facebook as well as “Like” it – you’ll see the number of likes right next to the buttons.

If a reader uses the “Respond to this ad” box then you will receive an email similar to this with a link to either respond via email or to call with the phone number that the reader supplied.

You or a reader can share your advertisement to their friends on Twitter or Facebook which will give your advertisement even more visibility. Shown below are examples of how your advertisement will appear when shared on Twitter and Facebook.

Tip #5. Other ways readers can see your advertisement.

If you have selected a Spotlight or Featured listing, your advertisement will rotate inside of a “widget” that will randomly appear on webpages for all of SMI’s publications. The benefit of this is to put your product or service in front of readers who may not actively be looking for those items.
