1. SHOULD SANTA MONICA PROVIDE MORE CITY SPONSORED SERVICES TO HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS, INCLUDING ESTABLISHING A SOBER LIVING FACILITY IN CITY LIMITS?

1. SHOULD SANTA MONICA PROVIDE MORE CITY SPONSORED SERVICES TO HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS, INCLUDING ESTABLISHING A SOBER LIVING FACILITY IN CITY LIMITS?

Because there has been an uptick in the number of homeless persons in Santa Monica, I would support increasing the intensity or type of City and non-profit services provided to homeless persons. I have no objection to the presence of sober living facilities in the City.

With the influx of the homeless from DTLA straight west we need to bolster our facilities for crisis management … This is a serious issue that must be addressed.

Absolutely! The Santa Monica City Council should also be providing services to veterans and mentally ill homeless who have a substance abuse problem, rather than excluding them from housing.

2. DOES THE SOLUTION TO TRAFFIC REQUIRE LIFE BE MADE EASIER OR MORE DIFFICULT FOR DRIVERS?

The solution must be ‘made easier’ because it has been made ‘more difficult’ for the last 20 years. I believe that residents should be entitled to free parking and that the traffic can be alleviated by reducing the development.

In addressing traffic, the goal should be to provide options to drivers who do not want to sit in traffic. That is why I support increasing Big Blue Bus service, Breeze Bike Share services, cycling infrastructure and pedestrian friendly development patterns

Yes. 2. DOES THE SOLUTION TO TRAFFIC REQUIRE LIFE BE MADE EASIER OR MORE DIFFICULT FOR DRIVERS?

That depends who is driving the cars and the circumstances for travel in Santa Monica. 3. DOES THE CITY HAVE TOO MANY ALCOHOL OUTLETS AND SHOULD THERE BE STRONGER LIMITS ON ACQUIRING ALCOHOL LICENSES?

3. DOES THE CITY HAVE TOO MANY ALCOHOL OUTLETS AND SHOULD THERE BE STRONGER

3. DOES THE CITY HAVE TOO MANY ALCOHOL OUTLETS AND SHOULD THERE BE STRONGER

I believe that is a population-based law, in which case there may be blurred lines based on the day-only population increase of 200k vs. the actual 91k that reside here. Have you seen how expensive it is to get a
