Or at least closer to the sky, if a proposed revision to the Downtown Community Plan, formerly known as the Downtown Specific Plan, is approved. The amendment, proposed by a collation of property owners, density maximization specialists and investors would create a third version of the zoning document that will mandate minimum height requirements for all development in the downtown area. The proposal would include a provision requiring all buildings in the downtown area be no shorter than 350 feet. Over the past two years, the DLP process has included over a dozen workshops and public hearings, as well as stakeholder interviews and discussions with various boards to develop an action plan to achieve a community vision for the
