PLANETARY GEARBOX TORQUE CALCULATION

SMD Planetary Gearbox name derives from its gearing system which consists of Planetary Gear system which includes Sun Gear, Planet Gear, Ring Gear and Carrier. Planet gears revolve around sun gear which transmits torque. These Planet Gears works in full efficiency and stability as there is even distribution of mass and also compact in size. This Gearbox is strong and carry large loads because the load passes through planetary set and allows more tooth area to handle power transmission. SMD also provides cost-effective solutions in Planetary Gearbox than other competitors. SMD Planetary gearbox are used in high precision applications which require high torque and low Backlash. As SMD also provides various stages by connecting individual stages in sequence. PLANETARY GEARBOX STRUCTURE :-

Planetary gearbox comes with single-stage and two-stage speed reduction where the output of first stage is the input of second stage and the second stage output is rigidly attached to the output shaft. Hence the reduction caused in first stage is multiplied by the reduction caused in second stage equals in total reduction as output. The output shaft is made up of SCM 440 and the casing is made up of aluminium alloy. SMD also provides custom mountings as per customer requirement.
