Drama is a unique combination of all of the arts, and our drama students were very busy and productive. The school year began with our Fall Play, The Craving. The play, a biting satire of the film industry, featured sixteen students who participated both on stage and behind the scenes. The spring semester all-school production was the musical, Little Shop of Horrors, which included eighteen students who chose a specialty of on stage or behind the scenes work. The Varsity Drama team was especially productive during the year as they participated in ten Texas Forensic Association (TFA) qualifying tournaments, as well as having qualified for

Music students also participated in the
TAPPS Solo & Ensemble competition and received an “Excellent” rating for their Medium Ensemble performances. Several students received a “Superior” rating for their solo, and one student advanced to the state level and received a “Superior” rating and a gold medal. The year concluded with a concert that featured the Music I class, which was the highest attended spring music concert in school history.
