About your presenters: GORDON SMITH

Gordon has wide-ranging experience in educational leadership and governance. He has been Headteacher, Principal, founding CEO of a Multi-Academy Trust, Chair of Governors and Chair of Board of Directors. He now sits as an independent member of the Finance Committee of AQA, Chair of Baring Primary, Chair of Finance at Beaumont Primary and Visiting Fellow for Ambition Institute whilst providing consultancy and coaching support to schools, trusts, colleges and local authorities.

DAVID BUTLER

David has experience with all phases of education in maintained, academy, independent and faith schools, as teacher, headteacher, consultant, governor, MAT trustee and member, and Director of Education in a large and diverse Local Authority. As Director of Education, he was responsible for education standards, school improvement, school place planning and admissions, SEND, the virtual school, music and arts services, alternative provision, safeguarding, youth engagement, NEET and commissioning.
