Winter Wishes at the HCC

THE inaugural Winter Wishes Holiday Festival, where the convention center has commissioned an ice-skating rink to be shipped in from California, took place from November 29th to December 24th. Along with the indoor skating rink, the event also features a marketplace with approximately 50 local vendors, seasonal food and beverages, Santa photo location, craft workshops, and entertainment.

A special opportunity arose for Smart City Networks during this event. Our partner and General Manager of the Hawaii Convention Center, Teri Orton, offered us the chance to sponsor a Christmas tree to be displayed in the winter forest as the attendees enter through the front of the Kamehameha Exhibit hall. The proceeds of our sponsorship will benefit Kristi Yamaguchi’s Always Dream Foundation, which supports Hawai’i schools.

The fun and games didn’t stop there! Amidst the donors, there was tree decorating contest, of which, the SCN Hawaii team was one of the two finalists! The Hawaii team could not have made this possible without the support of our leadership. On behalf of everyone here in Hawaii, we say thank you and Happy Holidays!
